A proud graduate of The Seton Hall University, she started her career at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation where she spent the first 12 years primarily working in the outpatient spinal cord injury department. Her background includes over 10 years of involvement with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation NeuroRecovery Network including teaching the Introduction to Locomotor Course and presenting multiple presentations on locomotor training and best practice advice for treating the SCI population at national conferences.
Buffy moved to Colorado after accepting the PEAK Health and Wellness Coordinator position in 2019 and has been focused on activity-based training since that time. The PEAK Wellness Center is a community based adaptive gym which offers specialized health and wellness programs focused on enriching the quality of life for those affected by neurological conditions. She works directly with clinical exercise specialists to provide strength and endurance training programs to supplement therapy programs or to assist clients with on-going fitness goals once they have been discharged from formal therapy services.
For fun, Buffy enjoys being with her family and spending time outdoors on her bike, golfing, paddle boarding or enjoying some live music at a local brewery.
